ClaimGuard - Privacy Policy

What ClaimGuard does

ClaimGuard is a Shopify app for reviewing merchant product copy in read-only mode and flagging phrases that may require attention. It is an advisory tool, not legal advice, and the merchant remains responsible for product copy decisions. It never changes or publishes product copy.

Shopify API scopes

ClaimGuard requests only read_products. It does not request or receive access to orders, customer records, buyer information, or revenue data.

What we store

• Your store domain and the Shopify session/access token issued by Shopify.
• Your app settings.
• Your subscription status (managed through Shopify Billing).

We store no customer personal data: no emails, names, orders, buyer information, or customer records of any kind.

How we use it

Solely to operate the app: to render the embedded app, manage your subscription, support later product-copy review features, and respond to support requests. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data deletion (GDPR / CCPA)

We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. When you uninstall ClaimGuard or Shopify sends a shop-redact request, we permanently delete all data associated with your store. Customer-redact and customer-data-request webhooks are no-ops because ClaimGuard holds no customer data.

Subprocessors

We host the app on Vercel and store data in a Neon (PostgreSQL) database. Both process data only to provide the service.
